Home made latkes last night it would be a stretch to call a success (recipe, please) but younger son loved them – “they taste like fairground food” (i.e. forbidden fruit).  Fresh bagels for lunch today, plump and glossy, chewy and, well – divine.  Cross between Brick Lane genuine article and Greek koulouri, coated in sesame seeds.
