As night falls on the Clerkenwell Road,I find myself next to what appears to be a carefully reconstructed unlit film set of soot-blackened Victorian London.  Google Earth reveals rows of almshouses, little touched since Dickens’ day, nestling on prime real estate land worth millions per square metre.
