It looks surprisingly like Hawaii (our island home when older son was small enough to carry). Same wall of wet, subtropical heat.  Ignorantly, I’d pictured skyscrapers and city lights but 75% of Hong Kong is made up of rugged undeveloped hills and strings of islands covered in dense, luscious rainforest.
